How to choose the LED display dot pitch

The selection of LED display point spacing is related to two factors:
First, the viewing distance of the LED display
Where is the display screen placed, and how far people stand to look at it, is an important factor in determining the dot pitch when choosing an LED display screen.
Generally, there is a formula for optimal viewing distance = dot pitch/(0.3~0.8), which is an approximate range. For example, for a display with a pixel pitch of 16mm, the best viewing distance is 20~54 meters. If the station distance is closer than the minimum distance, you can distinguish the pixels of the display screen. The graininess is stronger, and you can stand far away. Now, the human eye cannot distinguish the features of the details. (We aim at normal vision, excluding myopia and hyperopia). In fact, this is also a rough figure.
For outdoor LED display screens, P10 or P12 are generally used for the short distance, P16 or P20 for the farther ones, and P4~P6 for indoor display screens, and P7.62 or P10 for the farther ones.

Second, the total number of pixels of the LED display
For video, the basic format is VCD with a resolution of 352288, and the format of DVD is 768576. Therefore, for the video screen, we recommend that the minimum resolution is not less than 352*288, so that the display effect is good enough. If it is lower, it can be displayed, but it will not achieve better results.
For single and dual primary color LED displays that mainly display text and pictures, the resolution requirements are not high. According to the actual size, the minimum display of the 9th font can be determined according to your text volume.
Therefore, generally choose LED display, the smaller the dot pitch, the better, the higher the resolution will be, and the display will be clear. However, factors such as cost, demand, and scope of application must also be considered comprehensively.
